"Even though most people think they can do it themselves, creating a website is a job for professionals. Bart is such a professional, he guided me through the process of creating a website that shows what my business and I stand for and that is appealing to my customers. The whole process went very smoothly, and we really worked together on it. It has been a blast working with Bart and I would recommend him to anyone!"
The Desque website is a full custom project, which was build based on a graphic design from Dutch Designer Maarten Walraven. Build on Bootstrap 3, the majority of animations are purely CSS-based. The team slider on the homepage is a JS/CSS work of art, where various elements are delayed in the overall transition. After converting the HTML files to a custom WordPress Theme, Advanced Custom Fields was used to make the theme dynamically editable. A custom plugin was written as an extension to the Final Tiles Gallery in order to achieve the desired functionality.
Unfortunately, the client recently updated some content with no regard to correct sizing, thereby breaking the visual consistency of the slider and framework.
The MTP Specs
The MTP website was a carte-blanche project which was designed by yours truly. The only starting point was the logo and the briefing, so we decided to show some guts and step away from more traditional designs. The site was made using the Salient theme, and uses loads of SVG dividers and CSS animations. Bold box-shadow effects were used to give more depth to the design. A good example of a how you can still create a cool looking website without breaking the bank.
Tools: HTML5, CSS3, PHP, WordPress
The Moto Puro Specs
For the MotoPuro website we had the privilege of access to the entire Ducati photo library, and carte blanche in terms of design. As the client wanted to easily manipulate the front-end in the future we choose for the Salient theme in combination with the visual composer as a starting point. The most interesting feature is the custom build image comparison tool on the homepage, with a jQuery selector to view three before / after customizations. The specials page was another great opportunity to showcase some amazing custom bikes, using fixed backgrounds as the intro for each special, and a touch friendly jQuery slider to showcase more of those sweet bikes.
